Up around the Callowash River, there is lush plant life all around. Old growth forest, dry river beds, wetlands, and rainforest all come together in a vortex of nature. While hunting for firewood one day, I came upon this beautiful reddish-purple plant jutting out of the ground. It was the only one of it’s kind in the area. I hunted for others…was it a rare mushroom? Nothing. Not another plant like it anywhere. I felt that it was meant for me…that I got to see it, and capture it on digital media.
