Yoga today…fabulous as usual. Not always do we do a mantra or a chant. Not always do we do a meditation. This is what I love about kundalini and kriya – it’s different every time. There are so many different sets for moving energy that I have yet to repeat one in the 8 months I’ve been there.
Today, as my yogi explained the mantra chant to the class…I thought I should have eaten a better breakfast. The chant sounded something like: haht haht haht haht haht haht e das. What I found myself hearing instead was: hag hag hag hag hag hag en das. Rather than being all zen and in the moment, I was thinking of creamy frozen goodness.
Then a thought occurred to me. Spiritual practice is not perfect. The fact that I attempt to improve my spiritual practice is perfect. Accept and let go of judgement – especially of self. And so, as I chanted to the gods of Slow Churned Mint Chip, I found my zen.
hag hag hag hag hag hag en das.
